The #1 Trick to Prevent Frizz!

Hair

I had an Aha! moment at the Dressing Your Truth Salon.

I watched Emily (our Dressing Your Truth hairstylist) style my hair. And the way she used the blow dryer looked different from what I did at home. Turns out, I was creating a lot of frizz!

You high-energy Type 1′s and Type 3′s in my Beauty Profiling System are most likely to do exactly what I was doing—but you Type 2′s and 4′s aren’t off the hook.

Stop frizzing your hair…

Emily explains exactly how you might be creating frizz and friction in your hair. And then she doesn’t just explain the trick to fix it—she’ll demonstrate the movement you want to make with your brush and blow dryer. Voilá, no more frizzy hair!

The best part about this tip: It won’t take you any extra time.

Emily’s got several other tricks up her sleeve, so watch the whole video to catch all of them.

I love knowing the secrets to great hair! Leave a comment and share any other blow drying tips you have, especially if they’re specific to your Type of beauty.

I hardly ever ever ever blow dry my hair. I have long hair, mostly straight, dark blond, all natural. I use a leave-in conditioner after a shower and run a comb or fingers through the hair and let it air dry.
    What about the non-blowdrying crowd?

I am really loving learning about my type (3) and embracing it. I’ve always leaned toward trying to look type 2 and I’ve fought with myself. Like Carol, I felt like was never “feminine” enough. I am so happy to know I can be ME and not what I think I SHOULD look like. Now for the question…… I have always longed to have curly hair. I was born with thick, straight hair. It just feels drab and NOT me. I have to color to cover grey. Is it a horrible idea to get a perm? Is there a good way to get that messy/adorable curl and not destroy my hair but be able to feel more like me???

I am having aha moments all over
with this video – will have to rewind and watch again slowly and carefully like a type 2 instead of my usual type 3 “get it done now.” LOL Would love to see more “hair help for the type 3 hair impaired fire goddess” since I have very thick and wavy hair that is hard to keep tamed in Texas!

Get the Instyler!!! I have course hair. It is a frizz no matter what I have tried and no matter where I lived. Even after leaving the salon, it wouldn’t last….until ….! a stylist from California styled my hair with the dryer as she rolled the brush and blew the correct direction. It was the first time ever that my hair was amazing for longer! Then, I purchased the “Instyler” which is such that I can do the same process at home and my arm does not get tired…I have a testimony of the Instyler! Wahoo!
